Our pets very often become our family. They brighten our day, bring us joy, excitement – or vice versa, they calm and distract us in a positive way from any issues we go through in life. They become our companions when we are old or lonely, they befriend our children and we just can’t imagine our life without them.

Unfortunately their age is shorter than ours – and in a way it is good. For them. Because in this case they don’t have to go through the pain of losing their owner. However, no matter how well we understand it, no matter how we try to do our utmost to extend their life and well-being, we can never be fully prepared to say our final good-byes. Even when our pet is sick or has been sick for a period of time. We still hope for the best.

On some occasions it becomes even harder with euthanasia because guilt is added to the mix. “Did I do everything I could?” “Were all possible options explored?” – hard questions pet owners ask themselves.

Going through the loss of a pet might be as painful as the loss of any loved one human.

Paws To Heal Pet Bereavement Care offers compassionate healing for those grieving over the loss of a beloved pet through a combination of Reiki therapy, guided meditation, sage and crystal energy clearing, spiritual counselling and intuitive guidance.
